During the writing of The Walking People, I looked through many photographs. This gallery contains the work of two artists who helped me understand these characters better.

Alen MacWeeney is a reknowned photographer whose work has been installed in the permanent collections of the Met and the Moma. In the mid-60's, he captured a series of photos of itinerant Irish travellers which became the basis for his book Irish Travellers.
